Yoshi's Island 4-8
Item Balloons[1] (or Items Balloons[2]), also known as Baron von Zeppelins[3] or balloon bombs, are different colored balloons with smiley faces that appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island DS, Yoshi's New Island, Yoshi's Woolly World, and Yoshi's Crafted World. Item Balloons usually carry harmful or helpful items ranging from coins and extra lives to bombs and Needlenoses and/or Shy Guys. Item Balloons drop the item or enemy they are holding when a Yoshi goes under it (except in the case of 1-ups). A trio of Item Balloons also carry crates together. They also help in the final battle against Baby Bowser by dropping Giant Eggs. In Yoshi's Story, a similar type of species called Air Bags appear. Gallery[edit]

World 4 in Yoshi's Island DS takes place in the mountains of Yoshi's Island, becoming snowier and colder in the second half as Yoshi scales greater heights. In World 4-5, Baby Bowser encounters Yoshi and his party, and decides to join them on their adventure. However, this alliance is short-lived, as at the end of the world, Baby Bowser abandons the party as he attempts to go off with Kamek. Announced at E3 2001, Yoshi's Island (ヨースター島, Yoster Island) is a starter stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee, also available as a Melee Stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a familiar stage in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, and a stage in Super Smash Bros. It acts as Yoshi's home stage in all.
