Overview[edit]Inside the Cave Of The Mystery Maze The third area of the stage The player starts off in a small field with two Yellow Eggs near them and some dirt that can be Ground Pounded through. A small way down the dirt is an opening that has two Mufti Guys and two Red Coins. A little further down is another opening with more Mufti Guys, Red Coins and a Flower. A little further down from this are some Arrow Clouds, which can give an extra life and a spring ball that leads to a Winged Cloud. Further down from this is an opening that has an Egg Block, and to the right of it is an opening with a Lantern Ghost and a Winged Cloud with a door, a Key can also be found at the bottom of the area. The door leads into a cave area. The player will now be in the cave area, near the end pf this section is a Winged Cloud with a door in it, insides the door are four Lantern Ghosts and after they are defeated some Red Coins and a Flower will appear. At the end of the section they are on is a Ball 'N' Chain and a spring ball that leads to the next section of the cave. This section of the cave has some Lantern Ghosts, some Fangs and an Arrow Cloud that will get a Flower if hit by an Egg. After this, the player will need to drop down to the first section of the cave and then destroy some dirt to get another spring ball. At the top of the cave is the minigame door. The spring ball also leads to another section of the cave that has Kaboombas and the door to the next area. The next room contains only a Middle Ring. In the room after this, are several platforms as well as some Cloud Drops and Cactus Jacks. At the end of the room is a spring ball that leads to the next area. Yoshi will eventually find a watermelon in this area, allowing him to spit seeds that can destroy the grey walls with ease. In the end of this area, Yoshi can collect Red Coins and a Flower. The next door will lead him to a small maze-like area with Flightless Skeleton Goonies, walking one behind the another in an attempt to harm Yoshi. These foes, however, will be defeated by a Chomp Rock. The next area involves Yoshi jumping in several small platforms, with Chomp Rocks falling from the top of the screen, and ground pounding posts, where Red Coins are hidden.
