<<List of worlds>>

World 1 is the first world of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. The world contains eight normal levels and two secret levels. Its extra level is Extra 1: Poochy Ain't Stupid, and its secret level is Secret 1: Exercise in the Skies. The world's theme is a grassy plain in spring.

  • 1Levels of World 1

Levels of World 1[edit]

The following is a list of each level in World 1.

Make Eggs, Throw Eggs[edit]

This level is an easy course that teaches the player some things about the game. The level features Shy-Guys, Fly Guys and the Chomp Rock.

Watch Out Below![edit]

The second level is easy too. However, at the beginning, Yoshi must run quickly because Incoming Chomps will fall down and create holes in the ground. This level also introduces the transformation of Yoshi into a Helicopter.

The Cave Of Chomp Rock[edit]

This level takes place inside a cave containing many Nipper Plants and Chomp Rock. The level also features a Minigame room.

Burt The Bashful's Fort[edit]

The first fort is an easy level. At the beginning Yoshi must be careful because some walls can fall down and squash him when Yoshi runs past them. The level features the Burts, Lava Bubble and much more. The boss of the fort is Burt the Bashful, a giant Burt who jumps very high. Yoshi must throw eggs at him to defeat him.

Hop! Hop! Donut Lifts[edit]

This level is slightly harder than the previous four because it is an auto-scrolling level, so Yoshi must follow the path to get to the end. The level features the Donut Lifts as says the name, which fall if Yoshi stands on them for too long.

Shy-Guys On Stilts[edit]

This is an easy level with many Shy-Guys on Stilts. This special kind of Shy-Guy cannot be swallowed by Yoshi when on their stilts. This level contains two dark cave areas. At the end, a 1-Up balloon will appear.

Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy[edit]

3-8 yoshi's island walkthrough. This is a forest level with a Minigame Room and many Fuzzies. It also features the extremely rare Melon Bug that helps Yoshi to defeat enemies like Tap-Taps.

Salvo The Slime's Castle[edit]

This is the first castle of the game. It is an easy level, however Yoshi must be careful with the spiked platforms and the rotating cylinders. The boss is Salvo the Slime, a giant Lemon Drop. Yoshi has to throw eggs at it to defeat it.

Poochy Ain't Stupid[edit]

This is the first 'extra' level in the game. The main focus of it is Poochy, who Yoshi must ride on to get past the level. If Yoshi falls off of Poochy, he'll fall into lava and lose a life.

Yoshi island rom. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is the in-name-only sequel (or is it a prequel?) to Super Mario World. This time, Yoshi is the star of the show, Mario is an annoying baby, and the development team was evidently into some very heavy drugs. Nevertheless, it's an excellent game, but is surprisingly difficult. Yoshi's New Island is the first Yoshi's Island game on the Nintendo 3DS, and quite possibly the most polarizing entry in the series for a variety of reasons. The biggest disappointment is that, despite the title, it didn’t do anything 'new' to the series at all. Even the Giant Egg mechanic feels more tacked on.

Exercise in the Skies[edit]

Available only in Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. This is the first secret level in the game. As the name implies, Yoshi will have to traverse through cloud platforms and other types of airborne terrain most of the time.

Bonus-1[edit]

Collecting 800 points (700 in the remake) will unlock Flip Cards to play anytime.

Yoshi's Island Easter Eggs

<<List of levels>>

Yoshi's Island Easter Eggs is the last secret level in Yoshi's Island DS, found in World 5. It consists of eight rooms that contain 'Easter eggs' and Egg Blocks that tell how many rooms are cleared and how many are not, respectively. There are Middle Rings after each room (which has a locked door and a key to enter it with to move on). There is also a Stork Stop in every room. A Message Block delivers what the Easter Egg is at the start of each room:

Rooms[edit]

A short description of each room (including the Message Block text and the number of red coins and flowers found in the room) is as follows:

  1. 'Steal Lakitu's cloud!'- Black Yoshi must hop on the Lakitu that appears to navigate spikes on top and bottom.
  2. 'Get past the Bouncies!'- Black Yoshi must navigate a large group of Bouncies to hop across a long pit.
  3. 'Be careful of fickle blocks!'- A Woozy Guy is enclosed with a switch that activates and deactivates ! Blocks over spikes. The blocks activate and deactivate in even intervals as he jumps up and down. Black Yoshi must time his jumping to get up and reach the door, on ! Blocks as well.
  4. 'Let me get on it! Let me get on it!'- Black Yoshi must put four more Shy Guys on four separate switches to raise a metal bar to enter the door.
  5. 'Panic in the dark!'- Soon after leaving the middle ring, Black Yoshi is enshrouded in darkness, and must use short-lasting ! Switches that provide light to navigate carefully.
  6. 'Use your eggs to move the platform!'- Over more spikes, Black Yoshi must use the egg platform to move under two Chain Gates (requiring momentum) without getting stuck without eggs (which is possible).
  7. 'Ride the super-fast arrow wheels!'- Also a maze with spikes, Black Yoshi must time his jumping so that the arrow wheel is facing in a generally straight direction. If not, Yoshi may hit the top row of spikes.
  8. 'Superstar Baby Mario vs. the Piranha Plants!'- This is only the fourth time the Super Star is seen in the game, and also the only room that requires a certain baby. Superstar Mario must defeat all the Piranha Plants lining spikes on the floor and ceiling to raise a block.

Once the key for the last challenge is obtained, the door transports Yoshi to the goal roulette.
