Yoshi's Island is the homeland of the Yoshis and the area where the games in the Yoshi's Island franchise until Yoshi's Island DS take place. The island has been attacked by Baby Bowser and Kamek many times, but Yoshi has always restored peace to the island. They can be collected by winning them in Bonus Challenges and Mini Battle Games. Up to 22 Special Items can be saved in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and up to 27 Special Items can be saved in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3.
